Minorities Commission Sends Notices to the Crew of Telugu Film

The filmmakers and lead actors have been asked why a criminal complaint should not be lodged against them.

The State Minorities Commission has issued notices to the team of Telugu film Nanaku Prematho on the basis of a complaint that some posters of the movie have hurt the sentiments of a minority community.

The notices to the filmmakers, lead actors were issued besides the notices to the Police Commissioner and the Regional Officer of Film Censor Board, Telangana.

According to a press note from the Commission, serving Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, filmmakers and lead actors have been asked to reply to the show cause notice answering why a criminal complaint should not be lodged against them.

The matter has been posted for January 18. The film starring Jr NTR and Rakul Preet in lead roles was released on 13 January.
