An unidentified terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces in Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, 28 September, the army said.
An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in the Trumkhal area, in the upper reaches of Ganderbal this morning, an army official said.
A weapon and warlike stores were recovered from the scene of the encounter.
Security forces have launched joint operations against terrorists in Ramban, Doda and Ganderbal areas of Jammu and Kashmir, operations are still on.
Earlier in the day, an exchange of fire took place between the army and three suspected terrorists in a village along the Jammu-Kishtwar national highway.
Jammu and Kashmir police said that a group of 5 terrorists forced into the house of a civilian in Batote town of Ramban district of Jammu Zone.
