The Uttar Pradesh government announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh for the family of Rajesh Srivastava, the lawyer who was shot dead on Thurday, 10 May, in Colonelganj’s Manmohan Park area, reported ANI.
At a protest against the death of their colleague earlier in the day, lawyers set a bus on fire near the District Magistrate’s office in Allahabad.
The police were present at the location of the protest.
Colonelganj is a town and municipal board in Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda disrict.
