Himachal CM Reviews Water Situation in Shimla Town

After a week of severe water crisis in Shimla, CM Jai Ram Thakur on 1 June reviewed the water supply situation, PTI reported. On 31 May, Thakur sought details from officials on the crisis.

Thakur took stock of the situation from officers through video conferencing where the he was appraised that the Shimla Municipal Corporation has received 22.63 MLD (Millions of Litres Per Day) water. PTI quoted the CM as saying that a submersible pump would be set up which would ensure 5 MLD water supply.

Grenade Attacks on PDP MLA's House, CRPF Personnel in Kashmir

Militants carried out two grenade attacks in Anantnag and Pulwama districts of Jammu and Kashmir, including at the residence of ruling PDP MLA Mushtaq Shah, leaving six persons injured on Friday, 1 June.

Militants lobbed a grenade towards the residence of Tral MLA Mushtaq Shah in Pulwama. It exploded in the lawn and no one was injured, a police official said, adding the legislator was not in the house at the time of the incident.
