Seven people including two children were killed in a mid-air collision between a helicopter and a light aircraft over Spain's Mallorca island on Sunday, authorities said. The two aircraft crashed over the central town of Inca at 1:35 pm (1135 GMT), the regional Balearic Islands government said on its Twitter account.

An explosion has taken place in an auto-rickshaw at BJB Nagar, Bhubaneshwar. The driver has been admitted to the hospital in a critical condition. A police investigation is underway.

Five Naxals have been killed in an encounter with security forces in Abujmarh area of Chhattisgarh on 24 August. A security forces personnel also lost his life. Arms and ammunition have been recovered following the encounter.
