Strong 6.1-Magnitude Earthquake Rocks NE India: USGS
A strong 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh early Wednesday, the US Geological Survey said.
The epicenter of the shallow quake was about 40 kilometres (25 miles) southeast of Along, and 180 kilometres southwest of the state capital Itanagar.
It struck at 1.45 am (2015 GMT Tuesday).

India to Stop Importing Crude Oil from Iran, Says Report
India will stop importing crude oil from Iran following the US move to end sanction waivers, and will use alternate supply sources such as Saudi Arabia to make up for the lost volumes, top officials and industry sources said Tuesday.
The Trump administration Monday decided not to renew waiver that let countries like India buy Iranian oil without facing US sanctions.
"Until the waivers are not restored back, I don't think India can buy oil from Iran. We will stop importing oil from Iran," a top official said.
Congress Hits out at Modi Govt Over US Decision to End Iran Oil Waivers
The Congress on Tuesday hit out at the government over the US decision of not renewing its waiver that let countries like India buy Iranian oil without facing sanctions, saying it is a "diplomatic and economic failure" of the Modi administration.
The opposition party also alleged that Prime Minister Modi has directed oil companies not to increase the prices of petrol and diesel till 23 May so that he can "garner votes".

Jet Airways Shares Halt 3-Day Slide, Zoom 13%
Shares of Jet Airways (India) Limited halted their three-day decline and surged 13 percent on Tuesday due to value buying at lower levels.
The scrip, after a positive opening, jumped 11.57 percent to Rs 172.50 on the BSE. At the NSE, shares zoomed 13 per cent to Rs 174.95. In the past three days, the scrip had plummeted 40.94 per cent.
Running into debt of more than Rs 8,500 crore, Jet Airways shut down operations temporarily after lenders decided against extending emergency funds for its survival.
