Seven Killed in Jammu and Kashmir Gunfights
Six militants and a 12-year-old boy were killed on Friday in three separate gunfights in Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
Two militants and a the boy, who was taken hostage, were killed in an encounter in Bandipora district's Mir Mohalla area.
"One Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander is among the two militant victims," the police said.
In Shopian district's Imam Sahib area, the security forces killed two militants following a gunfight.

At Least 60 Killed in Ghana Bus Collision
At least 60 people were killed in a head-on collision between two buses in southern Ghana.
Police commander Joseph Antwi Gyawu said the crash happened at about 2:00 am (local time) in the Bono East region.

An Indian national was sentenced to five years jail and 12 strokes of the cane for swinging a plank during a riot involving about 60 people outside a Gurudwara in Singapore.
Yadwinder Singh, 26, was the leader of one of the two groups of people who started fighting outside Silat Road Sikh Temple in Bukit Merah area in April, 2017, Channel News Asia reported.
The two groups of men wielded wooden poles, planks and belts, spilling onto the road and disrupting traffic, the court heard.

ED Takes Strong Actions Against Terror Funding, Attaches Properties of Several Accused
Sources in ED have said that properties belonging to several terror financiers are being seized by the agency. They added at least 13 persons and their properties have been so far identified by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in connection with the case and further probe in the matter is underway.
They further said an action has been initiated to attach a plush bungalow of Kashmiri businessman Zahoor Ahmad Shah Watali in Gurugram. Watali, who was arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on 17 August last year, for his alleged role in a terror funding case involving Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed, is presently lodged in Delhi's Tihar Jail.
23 Soldiers in Chad Killed in Boko Haram Raid N'Djamena
At least 23 soldiers were killed in southwestern Chad when they came under attack from Boko Haram jihadists, a military official told AFP.
"Boko Haram elements attacked the Chadian army position at around 1 am, killing 23 troops," the official said.
It is the deadliest attack on the Chadian military by Boko Haram, a jihadist group which launched an insurgency in Nigeria nearly 10 years ago that has spread to neighbouring Niger and Chad.
Ola Cabs Banned in Bengaluru for Licence Violation
The Karnataka Transport Department suspended the licence of online cab aggregator Ola for six months in Bengaluru for running its bike taxis while possessing a licence for only four-wheelers, an official statement said.
The order from the Transport Department, dated 18 March, issued to Ola operator ANI Technologies on Friday, stated that its licence in Bengaluru was cancelled for six months for violation of conditions under which permission was granted. \
