J&K Administration Approves Establishment of First University in Ladakh

The Jammu and Kashmir administration has approved the establishment of first university in Ladakh region, a spokesperson said.

It would be a cluster university covering five colleges of Leh and Kargil districts, the spokesperson said, adding, "The university will be established with an initial grant of Rs 65 crore to be provided next fiscal.

AP Govt Machinery on High Alert as Storm Set to Cross Between Ongole & Kakinada

The Andhra Pradesh government has put its machinery on high alert and positioned NDRF and State Disaster Response Force in five districts as the deep depression in the Bay of Bengal is set to intensify into a severe cyclonic storm and cross the coast between Ongole and Kakinada on Monday, 17 December.

The Met office said that coastal Andhra Pradesh and north Tamil Nadu are likely to experience rainfall in the next two days.

J&K Governor-Led SAC Approves Rs 88,911 Crore State Budget for FY 2019-20

Jammu and Kashmir Governor administration has approved Rs 88,911 crore state budget for the fiscal 2019-20, which is expected to give a massive push to public infrastructure in the state.

The budget was approved by the State Administrative Council (SAC) headed by Governor Satya Pal Malik at a specially convened meeting in Jammu this evening, state chief secretary B V R Subrahmanyam said.
