2 Dead, 10 wounded in Strasbourg Shooting, Reports Local Media
A shooting in the French city of Strasbourg sparked a major security operation around a famous Christmas market on Tuesday, with media reporting one dead and several wounded.
According to media reports, European Parliament in Strasbourg was also shut down and staff was ordered to remain inside.
The French Interior Ministry called on the public to remain indoors and local authorities called on residents to follow police instructions.
"Our security and rescue services are mobilized," Interior Minister Christophe Castaner said.
French media reported one dead and 10 wounded, citing the local prefecture.

IPL Auction 2019: No Indian Cricketer In Highest Base Price Bracket
No Indian cricketer figures in the highest reserve price bracket of Rs 2 crore, in a pool of 346 cricketers who will go under the hammer at the IPL Player Auction in Jaipur on December 18. Jaydev Unadkat is the highest-priced Indian with a base price of Rs 1.5 crore.
While 1003 players had initially registered, the final list has been pruned after the eight franchises submitted their shortlist of players, a BCCI release said.
Death Toll In Suicide Attack Near Kabul Jumps To 12: Officials
The death toll from a suicide bombing, targeting a convoy of security forces outside Kabul early Tuesday jumped to 12, officials said. Several civilians were also killed in the latest Taliban-claimed attack near the Afghan capital.
"Twelve people including four members of the security forces were killed," ministry of interior deputy spokesman, Nasrat Rahimi said. Kabul police confirmed the casualties.

Shaktikanta Das Appointed As The New RBI Governor
Veteran bureaucrat Shaktikanta Das will take over as the 25th Governor of the Reserve Bank of India for a period of three years, the government said in an announcement this evening.
