7 Injured in Paris Knife Attack, Terrorism Not Suspected
Police say seven people have been injured in a knife attack in Paris but that terrorism is not suspected.
Authorities are still trying to determine if the attacker, who was arrested, is among the seven injured.
An overnight police press officer said the attack took place near a cinema in the 19th district of central Paris late Sunday.

One Shot Dead by Unidentified Militants in J&K
Unidentified militants shot dead a man in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
They fired upon 42-year-old Abdul Ahad Ganie at the Babademb area of the city here, a police official said.
Ganie, a resident of Sheikh Pora Lolab area of north Kashmir's Kupwara district, died on the spot. The officials said a hunt has been launched to nab the assailants.
Gas Explosion Leaves 18 Dead in Nigeria

Need Ex-IPS Officer Sanjiv Bhatt's Custody in Drugs Case: CID to HC
Police told the Gujarat High Court on Monday that they need the custody of sacked IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt to find the source of the drugs which his junior officers allegedly planted to frame up a man in a 1996 case, reported PTI. The hearing has been adjourned to Tuesday, 11 September.
Centre Extends Goods and Services Tax Return Filing Date Till 31 October
The government has extended till 31 October the deadline for filing of the Goods and Services Tax Return (GSTR)-1 form for transactions during July 2017 to September 2018, reported IANS. It also announced a one-time waiver of late fees to enable their filing within the new deadline.
