1. Drivers Once Again Face Faulty Servers

On Monday, hundreds of users who came after booking their slots for their driving licence and other transport-related services to the Road Transport Authority (RTA) offices had to wait and return as the servers were down throughout the day.

This not the first time. In the last 10 days alone, it’s the second time that the users had to face such issue.

2. Prakash Must Attend 15 May Questioning

The Cyberabad cyber crime police will serve a notice to V Ravi Prakash, former CEO of Associated Broadcasting Company Pvt Ltd, under Section 41 CrPC, asking him to be present before the investigating officer at 11 am on 15 May.

With Mr Prakash failing to present himself before the police to record his statements under Section 160 of CrPC (requiring attendance of witness), twice, the police had to take a step further and serve the notice under Section 41 of CrPC (police officer may without an order from a magistrate and without a warrant, arrest a person under certain circumstances).

3. 2 Held for Taking Bets in IPL Final

The North Zone Task force team busted a cricket betting racket and nabbed two persons under the Narayanguda police station limits on Sunday late night.

North Zone Task Force inspector K Nageswar Rao said, “The accused Sunny Kumar Jaiswal and Shree-manthula Sai Krishna.They are accepting cricket betting by following the ‘Cricket Guru’ and  ‘Cricket Maza’ apps and accepting betting money from punters over phones. With specific information that they were  accepting bets for Sunday’s IPL, the police arrested them.”

4. Heatwave Conditions From 15 May

Heatwave conditions are expected to prevail from 15 May till 17 May according to a warning issued by Indian Meteorological Department.

Most districts in the state will again experience temperatures that are 2ºC to 3ºC above the normal. An IMD official said that the increased temperature was being caused by a trough from Rayalaseema to Comorin that was hovering 0.9 km above mean sea level.

5. 400-Year-Old Hyderabad Mosque Opens Gates for All Religions

In a bid to “clarify the misconceptions around Islam,” 400-year-old mosque Masjid-e-Tawheed in Tolichowki opened its doors to citizens across religion and gender on Sunday.

For at least 10 hours, members of the congregation attended and addressed visitors across religion. They described to them the basic tenets of the religion and its various features. The members also talked about misconceptions around the religion and how it was being “misrepresented by the media.”
