1. Delhi Teen ‘Shot Dead by Friend’ While Making TikTok Video
A 19-year-old man died after his friend allegedly shot him while recording a video on the app, TikTok, inside an SUV on Saturday night, 13 April. The incident took place at Barakhamba Road and police said the victim, Salman, was with three friends, who have been arrested, at the time.
Police said Salman and his friends were making a video on TikTok and that one of them allegedly shot him. “We have registered a case of murder under relevant IPC sections,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi) Madhur Verma.

2. Delhi: Patients’ Kin ‘Attacked’ by Guards at AIIMS
Three members of a family were allegedly assaulted by security guards posted outside AIIMS Trauma Centre on Sunday, 14 April. Police have detained five persons in connection with the incident, and a case has been registered.
Police said a 37-year-old man, his wife and her sister were allegedly assaulted by the guards with wooden sticks, after the man questioned one of the guards as to why he had misbehaved with his wife.

3. Haryana Youth Gunned Down in SW Delhi
A 21-year-old youth from Bahadurgarh was gunned down by unknown men in southwest Delhi’s Baba Haridas Nagar on Saturday evening, 13 April. The victim was preparing for SSC examinations.
DCP (Dwarka) Anto Alphonse said that the victim has been identified as Tarun and a case of murder has been registered at Baba Haridas Nagar police station. The incident occurred when Tarun was on his bike on the road near a drain. He was intercepted and shot from a close range. The shooter also took his bike and mobile phone.

4. Woman Techie’s Body Found Inside Suitcase
A 25-year-old woman engineer, who went missing a week ago, has been killed by her alleged lover and her body was found stuffed in a suitcase dumped in a drain, police said on Sunday, 14 April.
The decomposed body was found on Saturday based on the information given by Sunil, who has been arrested and a case registered for murder and causing disappearance of evidence under the Indian Penal Code (IPC), they said.

6. NIA Arrests Fifth Accused in JeM Attack
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Sunday arrested an alleged Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) “overground worker” for his suspected involvement in a December 2017 attack on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Five CRPF men and three JeM militants were killed in the attack.

7. Women Sexually Abuse Child at Daycare Centre
A three-and-a-halfyear-old toddler was allegedly sexually abused by two female helpers of a renowned baby daycare centre and primary school at Izzatnagar in upscale Madhapur area in Hyderabad.
Andhra Pradesh Child Rights Protection Committee president P Achyuta Rao said the incident took place on April 10 and police have registered the case on the same day following a complaint from the child’s mother, whose husband is an IT professional working in a software firm in Madhapur.

8. 16-Yr-Old Who Filed Rape Complaint Commits Suicide
A 16-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide in Uttarakhand’s Haridwar on Sunday, 14 April, three days after she had filed a rape complaint against another minor, a police official familiar with the matter said.
According to police, the Class 10 student was raped for over a year on the pretext of marriage by the absconding accused, who was booked under the relevant Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) sections on Thursday.
