1. Mumbai: Youth Arrested for Sexually Harassing 11-Year-Old Boy

A 20-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting an 11-year-old boy in south Mumbai for five years, police said Friday.

The incident came to light Monday, when the boy was caught stealing some money from his mother’s wallet.

According to police, the accused is the victim’s neighbour and would call the boy to his house and sexually assault him when the latter’s parents left for work.

2. Hyderabad Man, 24, Killed in UK; Pregnant Wife Joined Him 25 Days Ago

A 24-year-old man from Hyderabad was stabbed to death late on Wednesday, allegedly by another Asian in a car park in Slough, Berkshire, a close acquaintance of the victim’s family has said. Slough has a large community of people of Indian origin.

Mohammad Nadeemuddin from Hyderabad’s Old City area was found dead by a security personnel at the parking of Tesco Supermarket on Wellington Street, Berkshire, where he was employed, according to the information received by his relatives in Hyderabad.

3. 17 Arrested for Killing Tigers, Using Body Parts for Black Magic

In a joint operation, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra forest departments have arrested 17 persons for allegedly killing and selling tigers’ body parts for black magic.

Those arrested include poachers, traders and sorcerers.

Claws and paws of two adult tigers, a cub, and leopard was recovered from them and they claim to have buried body parts of another tiger in Pench tiger reserve in Madhya Pradesh, the MP forest department officials said.

Out of 17 arrested, 16 hail from three districts of Mahakoshal – Chhindwara, Seoni and Balaghat — in Madhya Pradesh, while the remaining one is from Maharashtra.

4. 22 Days After FIR, Rape Survivors’ Medical Exam

Amid the outrage over police negligence in the Alwar gang rape case, another case of police apathy has been reported in Bharatpur, where medical examination of two gang rape survivors was done 22 days after the FIR. Two women who are relatives, approached the Kaithwara police on 16 April to report gang rape by six men when they had gone to collect grass for fodder.

5. Pune: Days After Father’s Arrest, Police Say Husband Set Pregnant Woman on Fire

The investigation into the death of a 19-year-old pregnant woman, who sustained severe burn injuries, has revealed that she was set on fire by her husband, the Ahmednagar Police said on Friday.

The victim, Rukmini Ransing, sustained 70 per cent burns and died at the Sassoon General Hospital in Pune on Sunday. Her husband, Mangesh Ransing, sustained 50 per cent burn injuries in the incident and is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.

6. Man Killed Over Rs 10 Parking Fee Row in Bangalore

A man was murdered over a Rs 10 parking fee issue at a cinema hall parking space in Bengaluru on Thursday.

A 38-year-old Bharanidaran was murdered by Selvaraj a person who collects the parking fee in the Lavanya theatre, St Johns road in Bharathinagar, East Bengaluru. According to police, on Thursday at 4.30 pm, Bharanidaran, a resident of Austin Town along with his cousin in a two-wheeler came to the theatre to watch Kanchana 3, a Tamil movie.

Meanwhile, Selvaraj as per the parking norms in the theatre premises asked Bharanidaran to pay Rs 10 parking fee, but Bharanidaran refused to pay the fee and turned aggressive towards Selvaraj.

7. Siblings Critically Injure Youth to Condemn Inter-Caste Marriage

Two brothers and their cousin have been booked for firing five rounds at a 20-year-old youth who, at least a year ago, had married their sister belonging to another caste against the wishes of the family.

The injured youth, Tushar Prakash Pisal, sustained serious injuries in the stomach, chest and neck. His condition was stated to be critical.

The assailants were identified as brothers Akash (22) and Sagar Taware (24); their cousin Raju Taware (21) and a friend Sagar Palve.

8. Greater Noida: Wife Beheads Man Over Affair, Held

A 26-year-old woman and her brother-in-law were arrested on Thursday for allegedly murdering her husband on Saturday.

Police said the woman cut her husband’s head while he was sleeping and stabbed him in the stomach several times. According to the police, she was in a relationship with her brother-in-law Ankit (22) and wanted to stay with him.

9. Man Stabbed, Robbed of Jewellery in Train

A 38-year-old employee of a jeweller in Bihar was allegedly assaulted, stabbed and robbed of his backpack and travel money belt containing jewellery worth around ₹1.5 crore by a group of four or five men in a moving train between Sadar Bazaar and New Delhi railways stations on Thursday evening, the police said.
