The Supreme Court, on Tuesday, 10 July, refused to quash the FIR filed against Latha Rajinikanth regarding the money borrowed for the movie ‘Kochadaiyaan’. The move comes after Ad Bureau, the lender, appealed in the Supreme Court to intervene.

Mediaone Global Entertainment Limited, in which Latha Rajinikanth is a director, had taken a loan of Rs 14.90 crore from Ad Bureau Advertising for completing the post-production work of the movie ‘Kochadaiyaan’.

In the Supreme Court, Ad Bureau had argued that since Latha Rajinikanth is one of the directors of Mediaone, she must assume responsibility and fully settle the remaining amount. While she had denied this argument and continuously maintained that she is not related to Media One, the Supreme Court has now ordered the trial on the FIR to continue.
