The body of a 30-year-old woman from Kerala was found buried in a vacant plot of land in Amboori, Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday, 24 July.

The deceased identified as Rakhi was reported missing over a month ago according to The News Minute. Her mortal remains were finally found in a plot of land next to the prime accused’s house.

The police suspect this to be a cold blooded, pre-mediated murder by three men which also includes Akhil, an army man and Rakhi’s former partner, according to NDTV.

How Did The Murder Take Place?

On 24 June, Rakhi was returning from her house in Thiruvanathapuram when she met Akhil and his friend and they all got into a car. Akhil and his friend tried explaining and warning her to forget about the relationship, but she wouldn’t listen, according to a report by NDTV.

“They apparently tried explaining and warning her to withdraw from the relationship, when she was unwilling, they executed their plan. Akhil kept pressing the accelerator so people could not hear any sounds or cries , while the other person with him, strangulated her in the car. This is according to our preliminary investigation.”
