As the wedding festivities of the Ambanis and the Piramals, India’s biggest business families kickstart, former US first lady Hillary Clinton arrived in Udaipur to attend pre-wedding celebrations of Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal, ANI reported. The couple is all set to tie the knot on 12 December in Jodhpur.
A Reuters report stated that the former US President Bill Clinton is also expected to accompany his wife for the celebrations. John Kerry, former Secretary of State is also rumoured to be on the guest list, an Economic Times report stated.
Zaheer Khan along with his wife Sagarika Ghatge and Union Minister Jayant Sinha also arrived in Udaipur to attend the pre-wedding celebrations, ANI reported.
Besides, the who’s who of the entertainment and business world are expected to grace the extravagant ceremony. Singer Beyonce is also expected to perform at the wedding, the Reuters report added.
The newly-wed Priyanka Chopra who is Isha Ambani's friend is likely to perform. AR Rahman and Arijit Singh are also expected to make an appearance. Joseph Radhik – who also captured Priyanka-Nick and Virat-Anushka's weddings, will be the lensman for the functions.
According to media reports, Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar and Taylor Swift are set to perform at the wedding.
Meanwhile, both families have started a special four-day ‘Anna Seva’ to feed 5,100 people, a majority with special abilities, from Friday in Udaipur, a family member said.
These people shall be served food three times daily till December 10 as part of the other wedding related ceremonies to be held on Saturday and Sunday.
Today, industrialists Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita, and Ajay Piramal and his wife Swati, along with Isha and Anand were present at the Anna Seva function, serving and interacting with the people, at the Narayan Seva Sansthan, in Udaipur in Rajasthan.
As announced in late October, Isha and Anand, both scions of the Ambani and Piramal business families respectively, shall wed as per Indian traditions, customs and culture at the Mumbai residence of the Ambani family.
