IRCTC Scam: Delhi Court Grants Regular Bail to Lalu Prasad & Kin

Former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, wife Rabri Devi, son Tejashwi Yadav and others were granted regular bail on Monday, 28 January, in the IRCTC money-laundering case against them.

  • Delhi's Patiala House Court granted the bail on a personal bond of Rs 1 Lakh and a surety amount against each of them.
  • The next date of the hearing has been fixed for 11 February.
  • The case relates to alleged irregularities in the allotment of contracts of two IRCTC hotels in Ranchi and Puri to a private firm in 2006, allegedly involving a bribe in the form of a three-acre commercial plot in Patna district.
