1. 15-Yr-Old Delhi Girl’s Body Chopped into 12 Pieces for ‘Demanding Salary’
A 15-year-old girl, whose dismembered body parts were found in a drain in outer Delhi a fortnight ago, was murdered for demanding her monthly salary, the police said on Sunday, 20 May, after arresting one of the killers from Nangloi.
The arrested accused was identified as Manjeet Karketa.
The killers had chopped the victim’s, identified as Soni Kumari, body into at least 12 pieces after killing her.
The victim, a native of a village near Ranchi, was hired as a domestic help for a monthly salary of Rs 6,500, but did not receive a single penny for the three years that she worked in Delhi, said Rajender Singh Sagar, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (outer). She worked as a full-time help at a businessman’s house in south Delhi’s East of Kailash area, said the officer.

2. Woman with 106 Cocaine Capsules in Her Stomach Held at Delhi Airport
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested a 25-year-old Brazillian woman with 106 capsules of cocaine in her stomach from Indira Gandhi international (IGI) airport in Delhi.
According to Vishwa Vijay, superintendent of NCB’s Delhi unit, the woman was caught on 14 May soon after she landed at the Delhi airport in a flight from Sao Paulo in Brazil based on prior information.
The 106 capsules weighing around 930 grams of pure South American cocaine and worth around Rs 6 crore were extracted from her body between 14 and 20 May by administering her laxatives at the Safdarjung Hospital, NCB officials said.
“This is the highest number of capsules of cocaine extracted from any professional drugs swallower by the NCB’s Delhi bureau,” said Vijay.

3. Class 10 Student Gang-Raped for Three Days in MP
A class 10 student was allegedly gang raped for three days in a jungle in Mandsaur district, while a minor girl was suspected to have been raped before she was murdered in Satna, the police said on Sunday, 20 May.
In a third incident, a Bhopal woman preparing for civil services exam alleged that she was raped for two years by a man on the pretext of marriage, the police said.
The gang rape victim lived in a village of Mandsaur and had gone to her school to collect her mark sheet on 15 May. On her way back home, she was offered a lift by two of her acquaintances on a bike. Later, three others joined them and took her to a jungle where she was gang raped for three days, according to the complaint filed with the police.

4. Cops Bust ‘Prostitution Racket’ at Chinchwad Massage Parlour
The Social Security Cell of the Pune City Police Crime Branch has busted an alleged prostitution racket at a massage parlour in Chinchwad area.
Acting on a tip-off, Police Naik Nitin Londhe, a Social Security Cell team led by Inspector Sanjay Patil, and a Chinchwad police team led by Senior Inspector Vitthal Kubde, raided the ‘Spa Glow’ massage in Chinchwad area on Friday. One Avinash Devidas Jogdand (22), a resident of Nigdi who allegedly operated the parlour, has been arrested.
Jogdand allegedly lured girls on the pretext of working as therapists and forced them into prostitution. Police have rescued three girls, one of whom is a Nepal national, while the other two are from Pune. The girls were taken to a rescue home in Hadapsar.

5. 30-Yr-Old Found Dead in Kolkata Under Mysterious Circumstances
A 30-year-old woman died under mysterious circumstances in Kaikhali area of south Kolkata on Friday.
While Shampa Das was found injured inside her apartment and later was declared brought dead when taken to a hospital for treatment, her husband was found bound to a chair and bleeding from a minor cut.
“On Friday at around 10 PM, the airport police station received information that a lady had fallen from the stairs of her home and was bleeding. Police broke into the home and found the woman bleeding. She had suffered a head injury. Her husband Supratim Das was found tied to a chair with a new nylon rope. The woman was taken to Uma nursing home where the on-duty medical officer declared her brought dead,” said Amit Javalgi, DC, Police (Headquarters).

6. 3 Held in Delhi for Conning Hyderabad Girl
Three conmen were nabbed by Rachakondapolice’s Cyber Crime wing from New Delhi on Saturday, 19 May, for duping several persons on the pretext of providing jobs in IT/ITeS companies. They duped a city girl to the tune of Rs 5.40 lakh.
Rachakonda police said that Kumar Gaurav, Ankit Kumar and Amit Kumar Rai were operating a call centre-like setup and call job seekers posing as HR personnel of MNCs.
A girl from Moula Ali approached the police claiming that she uploaded her resume on www.shine.com as she was looking for a job. She received a call from a person claiming to be an HR executive of an MNC. Initially, they made her pay Rs 1,850 through PayTm as registration fee.

7. Unable to Trace Missing Child, Cop Commits Suicide
Upset over not being able to trace his missing son, a police sub-inspector attached to the City Armed Reserve (south) allegedly committed suicide in Adugodi, Bengaluru, on Saturday, 19 May. Dayananda Sagar, 58, resident of Jayanagar, was found hanging in the office godown.
In his suicide note, Sagar had stated that he could not bear the pain of his son’s disappearance. “Nobody is responsible for my death. My younger son Ganesh left home four months ago and never returned. I’m not able to bear this pain and decided to commit suicide. Excuse me,” he wrote.
The incident came to light when his elder son Kiran came to CAR at 11pm after Sagar failed to reach home in the evening. Sagar was deployed for bundobust at JD(S) leader HD Deve Gowda’s residence on Saturday, 19 May.

8. NRI Masturbates Sitting Beside Woman on Board Flight
A 58-year-old NRI, holding a Russian passport, was arrested at the Delhi airport on Sunday, 20 May, after an Indian woman alleged that he had masturbated sitting beside her on board a flight from Istanbul, officials said.
The security control room at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport was informed in the early hours of Sunday, 20 May, that there was an "unruly passenger" on board a Turkish Airlines flight approaching Delhi.
Personnel of the CISF, which guards the airport, reached the flight (TK-716) upon landing and were informed that the Indian woman had, in the meantime, made a distress call to the Delhi Police alleging sexual harassment by a co-passenger.
"It was learnt that the male passenger, an NRI holding Russian passport, was sitting next to the woman in the flight and allegedly unzipped his trouser and started masturbating in front of her," a senior official said.

9. Man Held for Attempting to Rape Mother
A 25-year-old man was arrested for allegedly attempting to rape his mother, police said in Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur on Sunday, 20 May.
Circle Officer City Sumit Shukla said the incident took place on Friday night, when an ice cream vendor Kesri (25) in an inebriated state attacked his 45-year-old mother and tried to rape her.
The mother somehow rescued herself and alerted her neighbours, who caught the ice cream vendor, the police said.
