In Praise of AAP: Jung Says ‘No Differences’ With Kejriwal
Najeeb Jung on Tuesday said that he had no “differences” with chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Lieutenant governor Najeeb Jung on Tuesday pleasantly surprised the country when he said that he had no “differences” with chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and also called deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia a visionary.
“The city is very lucky to have Sisodia as education minister as he is such a great thinker”
He spoke as a chief guest at the closing ceremony of the nine-day workshop that was being held for government school principals and faculty of the State Council Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and District Institutes of Education and Training.
On a friendly note, Jung said, “At St. Stephen’s College, we used to have assembly where the students studying physics, chemistry used to sit in the front row, the ones studying history in the middle and ones studying BA programme at the end. So our principal used to say the ones sitting in the front will spend their time in the laboratory, the history ones will get into IAS to boss around and do not mind Manish but the ones at the back were meant to be politicians,” reported Hindustan Times.
Sisodia, however, only thanked Jung for being a part of the workshop and addressed the teachers.
The workshops are an effort by the Delhi government to inculcate values in the education system and highlight the need for peaceful co-existence with nature and people.
