According to media sources, Arunachal Pradesh Governor Jyoti Prasad Rajkhowa told the Supreme Court on Tuesday that he was physically assaulted by Congress Ministers. He also added that he has acted according to the Constitution.

The Supreme Court had issued a notice to the central government based on a plea challenging the imposition of President’s Rule in Arunachal Pradesh on 26 January 2016. The court had also sought a report on the reasons behind imposing President’s Rule in the state.

In his report, Rajkhowa slammed the current state government for violating the Constitution of India.
