Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Monday lashed out at the BJP-led government for “forcing everyone into silence”. Gandhi was speaking at the launch of commemorative edition of The National Herald in Bengaluru.
Recalling the protests at Madhya Pradesh’s Mandsaur district where six farmers were killed in police firing, he said that he being a “citizen” was barred from entering the state.
I asked the policemen, on what basis are you stopping me? Is there a law that is being implied? He said no and that he has been asked to do so.
He went on to say that the “power of truth is being completely replaced by the truth of power” and that anyone who stands for the truth is pushed aside.
