A 75-year-old man and his 45-year-old son have been booked under the POCSO Act for sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl in Vellore, The News Minute reported.

The accused father-son duo Venkatachalam and son Gundumani used to visit the survivor’s house occasionally, who lived near their locality, under the pretext of casual conversation or to play with her and her sister.

The incident came to light after the teen’s mother approached the Tiruppatur police station when her daughter informed her about the sexual abuse. The teen had started to complain about severe pain in her stomach and groin area and after being questioned by her mother, she opened up.

The accused had reportedly also threatened the girl against telling the truth to anyone.
