1. Deepika to Step Into the Shoes of Gal Gadot to Be Wonder Woman

Deepika Padukone is reportedly up to massive things. According to a Mumbai Mirror report, Deepika is following up Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmaavat with another biggie - Bollywood’s first female superhero franchise.

Apparently modelled on Hollywood’s Gal Gadot-starrer Wonder Woman franchise is ostensibly a dynamic, sci-fi tale.

“Deepika’s avatar is being fashioned after Gal Gadot’s in Wonder Woman. The developments have been kept under wraps with a creative team holding discreet meetings with Deepika on a regular basis. Presently, a running bid is on for Rs 300 crore among multiple investors...The 32-year-old-actress will begin training extensively in mixed martial arts and different styles of hand-to-hand combat. Since this is a first-of-its-kind mega project, the timelines for pre-production will be long and the project will go on the floors next year,” a source told Mumbai Mirror.

2. Compared to ‘Nirma Girl’, Swara Bhasker Takes the Joke on Her Chin

Swara Bhasker has upped the ante in terms of her style game, thanks to her imminent female buddy comedy film, Veere Di Wedding starring Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shikha Talsania. Every promotional event of the film sees her dressed to the nines. Her wardrobe seems to be cranking up the risque meter. The buzz is that Rhea Kapoor has roped in as many as 10 stylists to create distinct looks for the Veeres.

While many are complimenting her new avatars, some netizens compared her thigh-high white dress by Dubai-based design label Atelier Zuhra, that she wore at the music launch of the film to the one donned by the girl in the ‘90s Nirma commercial. The meme has expectedly taken the internet by storm.

Swara too agrees about the similarities. In fact she shared the meme and laughed along.

Rohingyas should not live in India and neither should those who sympathise with them, BJP leader Vinay Katiyar said on Thursday, days after Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra visited Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh.

The actor, a UNICEF goodwill ambassador, visited the refugee camps in Cox's Bazar on Monday and described the crisis as "horrific". The 35-year-old actor also urged people to help the affected children.

“VIPs should not visit there (Rohingya refugee camps). This sends out a wrong message. Priyanka ji should not have gone there. These people (VIPs) should avoid going there. Rohingya Muslims should not live here and nor should those who sympathise with them,” Katiyar said.
