Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30, which is based on the life of Indian mathematician Anand Kumar, has been declared tax-free in Delhi. The announcement was made by the deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia who took to Twitter to talk about his interaction with Anand Kumar when he and Anand were both visiting a Delhi government school.
He wrote, “Anand Kumar of #Super30 fame visited a #DelhiGovtSchool with me today. His work & personality are inspiration for all teachers across country, as children from humble backgrounds achieve their IIT-JEE dreams. This is what it truly means to be a guru (1/3) @iHrithik @teacheranand”
He further added that the film has been given a tax-free status, “Delhi Govt will be giving tax-free status to the movie ‘Super 30’, so that it can inspire students and teachers in Delhi (2/3) #Super30 @iHrithik @teacheranand”
Moreover, Anand Kumar will hereon be conducting one class every month for students of Delhi government schools. These classes will be held virtually for students in 11th and 12th grade.
Previously, Super 30 has been declared tax-free in the states of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had made the announcement on Twitter on Thursday, Gehlot wrote: "Super 30, based on the real story of Anand Kumar, is an inspiring film of recent times. It is an excellent example of exceptional will power and determination, that despite all odds, success is achievable."
"We must take inspiration from such films and imbibe the value of 'excellence in education' in the youth of our society today. I hereby declare this film tax-free in the state of Rajasthan," he added.
