  • Professor Amartya Sen, renowned economist and philosopher, on Thursday attacked the practice of terming people ‘anti national’ for not toeing a certain line.

  • The Nobel Laureate went on to say that caste is anti national, ‘because it divides the nation’, and one could only be national by eliminating all divisions.

  • Sen was speaking at an event at the London School of Economics (LSE) to mark the 125th birth anniversary of Dalit rights activist Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, a former LSE student.
