News18 journalist Manoj Gupta reportedly called Dawood on his Mobilink number, traced to Pakistan.

The channel claims that Dawood is currently located at Clifton, an uptown suburb in Karachi, Pakistan. While Dawood reportedly answered the call made by Gupta, he immediately handed over the phone to reportedly his assistant Javed Chotani.

Chotani is a bookie who managed Dawood’s businesses in Dubai. While Chotani did not engage with the topic of their location, he did not verbally deny not being in Karachi either. He also confirms that Dawood is not suffering from any major health issues contrary to news reports.

Following this, Chotani excused himself from the conversation saying it was time for namaaz. News18 claimed that the interview was recorded on 31 May.
