A photograph of Akbar (Rakbar) Khan has raised a number of questions in the Rajasthan Police’s handling of the case where the 31-year-old was lynched by a mob who accused him of cow smuggling in Rajasthan’s Alwar district on 20 July.In the photo, taken inside the police car, Khan is seen dressed in a yellow-brown shirt and a pair of black trousers; there are no visible signs of injury on his neck and face.‘Khan Was Thrashed by Rajasthan Police’According to several media reports, the Rajasthan police took almost three hours to reach the nearest hospital, 4 kilometres away from the spot. Reports suggest the police stopped for tea and refreshments while on their way to the hospital.
