A day ahead of DGP’s conference in Kutch, scheduled to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BSF has captured an abandoned Pakistani fishing boat in the Indian territory, at Padala creek, near Koteshwar, on the Indo-Pak border.

According to a top Gujarat-BSF official, the fishing boat was found on Wednesday night, while patrolling in the creek area, near Koteshwar Border Out Post. Since the boat was lying unattended, officials believe that the occupants might have fled in other boats.

As per an official statement issued today by the Border Security Force (BSF), nothing suspicious has been found on the Pakistani fishing boat, which is around 15-feet long. The BSF have seized the boat and started further investigations.

The incident has raised suspicion as the boat was found way inside the Indian waters near Koteshwar.
