Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal escaped unhurt when his Innova rammed into a police car near PAP chowk on the Jalandhar-Amritsar road on Friday.

Kejriwal, who was on his way to Amritsar on the second day of his four-day visit to Punjab, was in the front seat of the car when it hit the escort vehicle, which was moving ahead of it, police said.

No one was injured in the mishap, they said, but the bumper of Kejriwal’s car was damaged.

Besides Kejriwal, AAP leaders Bhagwant Mann and Gurpreet Ghuggi were also in the car.

Kejriwal is on a four-day tour to Punjab to give a push to Aam Aadmi Party’s poll campaign.

He carried on with his journey to Amritsar where he will pay obeisance at the Golden Temple, a party spokesperson said.
