Suresh Prabhu Withdraws Water Transportation Bill Sent to Latur

The bill transportation was provided on the request of Latur administration’s request, the Railway Ministry has said.

The bill Rs 4 crore for water provided to Maharashtra’s Latur district was withdrawn on the direction of Suresh Prabhu, Union Railway Minister on Friday.

A bill of Rs 2.16 crore for water transportation alone was provided to the Latur administration on Thursday. The Railway Ministry had said that the bill was provided on the request of Latur administration.

Over the past month, 6.20 crore litres of water sent to the drought-ridden district through water trains.
