New Delhi, Nov 29 (IANS) Reacting to the rape and murder of a young Hyderbad veternary doctor that has shocked the nation, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that he is :shocked to hear about the brutal rape & murder of #DrPriyankaReddy in Hyderabad. How anyone could subject another human being to such terrible, unprovoked violence is beyond imagination."
"My thoughts & prayers are with the victim's family at this time of immense grief." he tweeted
With the Telangana government moving fast in the gruesome case following public outrage, Telangana Minister K.T. Rama Rao on Friday said he will personally monitor the case relating to the murder of the young veterinarian Priyanka Reddy.
"Outraged and deeply anguished by the murder of Priyanka Reddy. I am confident that the police will catch the animals who committed this heinous crime & deliver justice at the earliest," tweeted Rama Rao, who is the state Minister for Information Technology, Municipal Administration and Urban Development.
The girl was gangraped and murdered near the Outer Ring Road at Shamshabad on the outskirts of Hyderabad. Her charred body was found near Shadnagar town on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru highway.
