Rahul Gandhi Condemns Lathicharge on NIT Srinagar Students

The Congress Vice-President tweeted about the lathicharge in NIT Srinagar, urging the govt to lend a ear to students.

Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi condemned the use of force against students at the National Institute of Technology, Srinagar on Thursday.

In a series of tweets, Rahul urged the government not to ‘bully the students’ into submission.

Tension had been brewing on the NIT campus since the India-West Indies World T20 match.

Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was deployed in the campus late Tuesday night. A team from the Human Resource Development ministry has also been sent there.
