Washinton, Dec 20 (IANS) The House of Representatives will have to re-vote on Wednesday on Republicans tax bill as the legislation is expected to pass both chambers in Congress.Shortly after the US House of Representatives approved the final version of the Republican tax bill, a Senate parliamentarian ruled against three provision of the legislation, forcing the House to hold a second vote. The bill passed along sharp partisan lines, 227 - 203, with 12 House Republican members opposing the it and no Democrats voting for it, CNN reported. But shortly after debate started in the Senate, the House Majority Leader's office advised its conference to be prepared to vote on Wednesday citing Senate rules that would likely strip out certain parts of the final bill in order to pass with a simple majority. After the bill clears the House again, it will then go to US President Donald Trump for his signature before the Christmas holiday. Speaker Paul Ryan spoke from the floor and said that this vote on the tax bill was a "generational defining moment." "This is without question the single most important thing we can do to once again make America the best place to do business," Ryan was quoted as saying. The bill is the first overhaul of the US tax code in more than thirty years. --IANS sku/
