  • Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has approached the Election Commission of India (ECI) seeking disqualification of 21 Aam Aadmi Party legislators, who were appointed Parliamentary Secretaries last year, by the AAP government in ‘violation of the Constitution’. BJP is alleging that the MLAs have been occupying ‘office of profit’.

Satish Upadhyay, President, Delhi BJP
  • Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, Vijender Gupta claimed that the Kejriwal government was ‘well aware’ that these appointments were ‘illegal’.
