Head constable of BSF Prem Singh has been arrested near Amritsar by Mohali police for suspected collusion with cross-border smugglers.
Another BSF constable was arrested on Saturday 9 January in Sri Ganganagar district of Rajasthan for allegedly smuggling of drugs and weapons at the India-Pakistan border.
IG (BSF) Rajasthan Frontier, B R Meghwal, said that constable Anil Bhagat was handed over to intelligence agencies from Punjab and they interrogated him further to ascertain if he had links across the borders and if he was also involved in sharing information of strategic importance with Pakistan.
