Actor Akshay Kumar was detained by the immigration authorities at London’s Heathrow airport for over an hour.

Why? Believe it or not, the actor seemed to have been flying without a valid visa.

Wait, what?

The actor reportedly arrived in London for the filming of his upcoming film Rustom, without a visa stamp for the UK. He was made to wait in a common area with other passengers and was refused access to a private waiting area.

Canadian nationals like the actor can visit the UK without a tourist visa, for that purpose alone. It is reported that the airport authorities found discrepancies in his case since the purpose of his visit was work and not leisure.
