Kabul, Feb 20 (IANS) Afghan forces attacked a Taliban detention centre in Laghman province killing eight militants and setting free 30 civilians, the Defence Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday."The security forces raided a detention centre of the insurgents in Dara-e-Sangar area of Alinegar district late on Monday and after killing eight rebels released 30 civilians who were held there," it said, according to Xinhua news agency.Arms and ammunition as well as four motorbikes of the insurgents were destroyed during the raid, the statement added.--IANShim/bg
