Found Sitting on Bed, Tiger Takes Shelter in Flood-Hit Kaziranga

With about 90 percent of Kaziranaga National Park inundated due to Assam floods, a Bengal tiger was found sitting on a bed in a house in flood-hit Harmati area.

Flood water has submerged major portions of Kaziranga, Pobitora and Manas rhino habitats, forcing animals to seek shelter in the artificial highlands.

Forest officials have reached the spot and rescue work is underway.
