Arvind Mishra hopes to reach out to a million citizens about climate change and its impact.

“The era of climate change denial is over. Rejection of the unequivocal scientific evidence that carbon emissions from the burning of fossil fuels are warming the planet and changing our climate is no longer socially acceptable,” said American climatologist Prof Michael E Mann.

With increasing concerns about climate change and its visible impact, it can no longer be ignored. Keeping these facts in mind, Arvind Mishra will cycle across the country, some 10,000 kms, to spread awareness about climate change.

The journey will be covered over a period of six months from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. Mishra, a former mechanical engineer from Kanpur, hopes to reach out and initiate a dialogue on sustainable development and the necessity to reduce carbon imprint with over a million citizens.

A passionate cyclist, Mishra was left partially paralysed for three months in 2010 after a horrific accident. While recovering, he grew passionate about living in harmony with the environment and the idea of “Travel and Talk” came into being.
