The application process for recruitment to the various posts at the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has started and candidates who wish to apply can get themselves registered on the commission’s official website before 5 pm on 5 April. However, the last date for paying the online fee is 7 April 2019.
The SSC will hold a competitive examination for recruitment as Lower Divisional Clerk/Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant and Data Entry Operators for various Ministries/Departments/Offices of the Government of India.
The examination will consist of a Computer Based Examination (Tier-I), Descriptive Paper (Tier-II) and Skill Test/ Typing Test (Tier-III).
Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam: Application Fee
Candidates will be required to pay a fee of Rs 100 through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.
However, women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from paying fees.

- Dates for submission of online applications: 5 March 2019 to 5 April 2019
- Last date for receipt of application: 5 April 2019 (up to 5:00 PM)
- Last date for making online fee payment: 7 April 2019 (5:00 PM)
- Last date for generation of offline Challan: 7 April 2019 (5:00 PM)
- Last date for payment through Challan (during working hours of Bank): 9 April 2019
- Date of Computer Based Examination (Tier-I): 1 July 2019 to 26 July 2019
- Date of Tier-II Examination (Descriptive Paper): 29 September 2019

- Go to the official website of SSC at https://ssc.nic.in.
- User your email id for registration.
- Click on the ‘apply’ option on the homepage.
- You will be redirected to a new webpage.
- Click on CHSL and then click on ‘Apply’.
- Enter the requisite details in the given fields.
- Upload the required documents in the prescribed format.
