The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going to conduct the Class 10 board exam between February-March of the year 2020. There are reports that the board may release the board exam schedule by December 2019. At present, nothing has been announced by the board regarding the exam date so far.

The CBSE issues various exam patterns and sample papers to help students prepare before the exam. Here are the sample papers and exam patterns for Class 10 Social Science Exam:

CBSE 2020 Class 10 Exam Pattern & Sample Paper

Students are given 3 hours to solve the CBSE Class 10 Social Science test paper. This exam consists of a total number of 80 marks in which 35 questions are asked. Below is the exam pattern for Social Science Class 10 paper:

  • Section A

Very short type questions are asked in the first section of the paper. All questions are of 1 mark each.

  • Section B

There are 7 questions in the second section. Students have to answer all these questions in 80 words only. This question consists of 3 marks.

  • Section C

The third section of the paper consists of five questions. All questions carry 5 marks. In this section, students have to write an answer in 120 words.

Apart from this, map-based questions are also asked. It is divided into two parts: 35a (history) and 35b (geography). This question consists of 6 marks each.
