Gate Exam 2020: Exam Schedule, Date Sheet, Admit Card Release Date

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2020 will be held in the month of February. It will be conducted on 1, 2, 8 and 9 in February 2020.

The organising body for GATE, IIT Delhi released the exam date for GATE 2020 on 28 November 2019. A total number of 8.6 lakh people have registered for the examination. The GATE examination will be held in eight sessions for 25 different subjects. Check below the exam date sheets, paper codes and direct link to access the previous years papers for reference.

GATE 2020 Exam Pattern

The questions asked in the GATE exam are of two types:

  1. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ): where every question has four options of answers in which only one option is correct.

  2. Numerical Answer Type: where answers will be in real numeric numbers. There will be no options for these type of questions and there will be negative marking as well.

The GATE 2020 admit card will be released on 3 January 2020. The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee) conducts the GATE exam every year.

The score for this aptitude test is taken for admissions in M.Tech courses as well as the score is also considered for recruitment in the PSUs.
