A woman and her daughter were killed and her other children injured when a cooking gas cylinder exploded in a village here on Monday, police said.
The incident took place in Kadru Singha village under Paraspur police station, Additional Superintendent of Police Mahendra Kumar said.

Minor Girl 'Raped' in Her House in Rajasthan
In Rajasthan, a minor girl was allegedly raped in her house in Dhanugaon, Bundi. Mamta Gupta, Superintendent of Police (SP) said, “We have registered rape case, girl's age is around 17 years. The accused has been arrested.”

US Asks UN to Discuss Risk of North Korea 'Provocation'
The United States called a UN Security Council meeting this week on the risk of North Korean "provocation" as Pyongyang demands US concessions by a year-end deadline.
The United States, which holds this month's presidency of the Security Council, is scheduling the session instead of a planned meeting on human rights in North Korea, one of the world's most authoritarian states.
