2-Year-Old Boy Falls Further Down the Borewell, Stuck at 100 Feet

Efforts are underway to rescue a two-year-old boy who fell in a 25-feet deep borewell in Nadukattupatti of Tiruchirappalli district of Tamil Nadu on 25 October.

The boy fell further down the borewell, is stuck at 100 feet now.

Delhi Man Shot Dead in Road Rage, 6 Arrested

A man has been shot dead in Delhi's Jahangirpuri area after he got into fight with two persons on a bike, which brushed passed him, police said on Saturday, 26 October.

The incident happened on Thursday and police said they have arrested six persons and also detained a minor in connection with the case.

Those arrested are Suraj (35), Prashant (23), Arun Bhatia (24), Harish Bhatia (33), Abhishek (24) and Govinda (30), all residents of Jahangirpuri, they said.

High Alert in Nagaland, Manipur for the 31 October Naga Peace Talks

With the next round of peace talks to end the protracted Naga political problem scheduled for 31 October, the Nagaland and Manipur governments have taken steps to meet any eventuality and have put their respective police forces on high alert.

Officials said in Kohima that the Nagaland government has directed all deputy commissioners of the districts and administrative officers to remain in their place of posting and within their jurisdiction till further orders.
