AP Journalist Murdered in East Godavari District

Andhra Pradesh journalist, K Satya Narayana, was murdered by unidentified assailants in S Annavaram village, Tuni Mandal of East Godavari district on Tuesday, 15 October.

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy ordered Director General of Police to take action and nab the culprits as early as possible.

5-Year-Old Girl Feared Trapped in Slab Collapse in Virar

A slab of a building collapsed in Virar in Palghar district on 15 October and rescue officials believe a five-year-old girl may be trapped under the debris.

The fourth floor slab of the building in Kopri locality collapsed on the third floor, trapping the girl, an official said.

Local fire brigade personnel and police have rushed to the site for rescue operations, and further details were awaited from there, he added.

Eighty families residing in the building have been evacuated as a precautionary measure, the official said.

Kim Vows to Fight Us Sanctions, Visits Sacred N Korean Peak

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has vowed to surmount US-led sanctions he says have inflicted many hardships and trials on his country.

State media showed Kim riding a white horse to climb Mount Paektu.

The highest peak on the Korean Peninsula is considered sacred by North Koreans, and Kim often visited the mountain before making major decisions such as his 2018 entrance into diplomacy with Seoul and Washington.
