Jharkhand Youth Thrashed on Suspicion of Being a Child-Lifter

A youth, suspected of being a child-lifter, was beaten up by a mob in Jamshedpur on Saturday, the police said.

The incident happened at Babudih Bustee in Jamshedpur under the jurisdiction of Sidgora police station, they said.

All Cases Against Azam Khan Would be Withdrawn if SP Comes to Power: Akhilesh Yadav

All cases lodged against Rampur MP Azam Khan would be withdrawn if the Samajwadi Party comes to power, its president Akhilesh Yadav said on Saturday.

According to a statement issued by the party, Yadav made these remarks at Rampur, where he met Khan's family at his residence and visited Mohammad Ali Jauhar University, Urdu Gate and Rampur Public School International.

Pak Summons Indian Diplomat Over Ceasefire Violation

Pakistan on Saturday summoned India's Deputy High Commissioner Gaurav Ahluwalia to protest the killing of a woman in an alleged ceasefire violation by the Indian troops along the Line of Control.

Director General (South Asia & SAARC) Mohammad Faisal summoned Ahluwalia and condemned the unprovoked ceasefire violation in Nikia and Jandrot sectors of the LoC.

Faisal claimed an innocent 40-year-old woman was killed in the most recent ceasefire violation on 14 September along the LoC.
