In yet another instance of violence in the National Capital Region, an 18-year-old girl was shot dead, alleged by her stalker in a busy Gurugram market on Monday night. Family members of Gunjan, who was employed at a Patanjali outlet in Gurugram’s sector 22, allege that the accused had harassed the girl on a previous occasion, following which an FIR was filed.
Speaking to news agency ANI, the victim’s relative said that the accused would repeatedly harass her and that the girl had always resisted his advances. He also ruled out the possibility of any relationship between the two.
The entire act has been caught on CCTV cameras. However, police say they are unable to get a clear look at the face of the suspect, owing to the poor quality of the video.
