Civil rights group, political and muslim organisations protest against cow vigilantism in Jaipur on Wednesday. Protesters demanded suspension of the police officials who were involved in the Hayat Rabbani hotel case.
"Our hotel was shut down for allegedly selling beef. And it was all a lie. When they realised it they started saying we were feeding meat to the cow,” said one of the protesters.
A joint memorandum has now been addressed to the Jaipur police Commissioner and Mayor alleging that the police action was one-sided.
