In a recent video which went viral on social media BSF Jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav and CRPF personnel complained about the low quality food and lack of facilities provided to their respective forces.
The Quint spoke to former paramilitary officers to get more insight into the matter.
Paramilitary forces also raise the issue that they do not receive the same facilities as the Indian Army, such as medical and canteen services.
The former paramilitary officials also tol The Quint that the jawans must have faced a hopeless situation that compelled them to use social media as a tool. They told us that the BSF or CRPF should allow a third party to investigate the matter, instead of carrying out an internal enquiry.
