This 6-Year-Old Photographer Will Give You a Major Complex
You will start taking six-year-olds seriously after you meet this young National Geographic photographer
How do you imagine a 5-year-old to be? A child unaware of his surroundings, perhaps? A kid you need to keep a constant check on? Well, then you must meet Hawkeye Huey, who might just change the way you look at kids.
Hawkeye who just turned 6, is already a photographer for the National Geographic. Yes, you heard it right, a job that seasoned photographers would kill for. And not just that, his Instagram account was even featured among the Top 100 by Rolling Stone. Add to that, the 6-year-old will soon have his own photo book titled, A Portrait of the American West, published by the time he graduates from kindergarten.
Hawkeye’s journey started when his father Aaron Huey, a National Geographic photographer himself, took his 4-year-old son into the desert. Aaron gave Hawkeye an analog camera rather than a digital one. A trip that was supposed to be a father and son bonding time, soon became about the 4-year-old’s love for the camera and photography.
By the end of the trip, Hawkeye had taken around 1000 photos. Aaron created an Instagram account and started sharing Hawkeye’s photos with the world. Today, Hawkeye is an Instagram star with more than 192,000 followers. Below are a few photographs taken by the child prodigy.
